The competition will be held at the Harvard University Athletic Facilities in Boston, MA USA.

Round-robin play will occur during the first four days and playoff competition will occur during the last two days.

We expect over 600 players with additional fan support from around the world will travel to Boston to participate in the competition.

Venue and Fields
The tournament will be held at the Harvard University Athletic Complex located in Boston, Massachusetts, alongside the picturesque Charles River, and just across the bridge from the famed Harvard University campus and Harvard Square, Cambridge.

The football pitches for the 2003 World Championships are five natural grass fields located in the Harvard University Athletic Complex surrounding Harvard Stadium.

Rules of Play
IGLFA rules, in effect two months prior tot he tournament, will be followed. The current IGLFA rules are available on the IGLFA web site at: IGLFA RULES of Play

Format of Divisions

  • Round robin preliminary matches
  • Single elimination playoffs
  • Men's and Women's divisions
  • Divisions 1 and 2
  • Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 270 minutes of play, as per IGLFA rules.
  • Possible friendly matches after completion
  • Referees
  • The tournament will give preference to the IGLFA director of referees and IGLFA officials. The director of referees will format the disbursement of referees for the tournament. Prior to the start of the tournament, the tournament committee will work with the director of referees to assess the need for local referees to cover games. All matches in all divisions will have three officials. Referees will be compensated in accordance with IGLFA rules.
